310 SS Pipe
310 SS pipes are usually used in high-temperature applications. It has a high content of chromium and nickel. Compared with the common austenitic alloy 304, it has comparable corrosion resistance, excellent oxidation resistance and a greater retention rate of room-temperature strength. 310 stainless steel pipe is an austenitic heat-resistant alloy, which has excellent oxidation resistance at high temperatures and mild cycling conditions up to 2100°F. It has a high content of chromium and nickel, comparable corrosion resistance, excellent oxidation resistance and a relatively large proportion of room-temperature strength retention capacity. 310 stainless steel pipe is a high-alloy austenitic stainless steel used for high-temperature applications. The high chromium and nickel content endows the steel with excellent oxidation resistance and high strength at high temperatures. This grade also has excellent ductility and good weldability, enabling it to be widely used in many applications.
Typical applications: 310/310S grade is used in fluidized bed burners, kilns, radiant tubes, tube hangers for oil refining and steam boilers, stainless steel reheater tubes and superheater tubes for boilers, internal components of gasifiers, lead POTS, heat sleeves, refractory anchor bolts, burners and combustion chambers, muffle furnaces, annealing covers, knives, food processing equipment, and low-temperature structures. 310 stainless steel features outstanding high-temperature performance, good weldability and ductility, and is specially designed for high-temperature applications. If there is no reducing sulfur gas present, 310 stainless steel can resist oxidation when used continuously at temperatures up to 1150°C. 310 can also be used for intermittent services with temperatures up to 1040°C.
